About the music: pure traditional blues by Mississipi John Hurt

The fate of the first Americans: their land is stolen, official treaties are violated by the government, their women are raped, the bisons, which are their first source of meat, are slaughtered, someone offers them alcohol and blankets infested with typhoid, their gods are murdered and their customs scoffed; last but not least: they have to give up their original names, etc.

Nowadays those folks should have completely disappeared; it's [fast!!! smiley] = (German lapsus calami; 'fast' in German means=) almost a miracle that there are some of them left: America's "Indians", the "ugly" people of John Ford's films, the "Indians" being always the screaming and vociferous bad guys who tried to exterminate so-called peaceful settlers. I am a little ashamed to confess that in my youth I was always happy to see the American cavalry tumbling into the plain to liquidate all those miserable Indians, which threatened to kill the kind family of European migrants.

But, of course, we learnt that the situation was actually quite the opposite. And, that bloody story about the extermination of the American Natives has been hidden to the common peoples of the world for decades with the help of faked films made in Hollywood. The same fakes explained to us that a so-called cow-boy could only be a white one, as if an agricultural worker, on horseback days and nights, who hadn't got any bath for several weeks, sleeping mostly outside on a single blanket, who had not even attended the elementary school, etc., could only be ... white! The reason of that swindle is surely the fact that Hollywood managed to transform the poor agricultural workers into heroes of the conquest of the Wild West and, of course, such heroes could only be ... white!

Searching for interesting (2D) pictures on the Internet, I had the opportunity to discover that there were some "black Indians" in America, probably -surely!- crossbreeds of American Natives and Africans!
