He who loved young ballerinas so much! Edgar Degas. Of course the whole series of "Dancers" by Degas is gorgeous, but during a certain lapse of time I had to check my memory... The photograph with the young Brigitte Bardot has obviously been shot by a (unknown) photographer with academical training, as I always say! He knew about the paintings by Degas, and tried here to do a "remake" of the famous painting with the little dancer in the waiting room. I find the photograph very funny. Of course, there are some differences between both pictures: the perspective first; in the painting the scene is observed from above; then you have the face of the girl, easily recognizable on the photograph, but not in the painting [Attente (1880-1882), pastel sur papier, 95 × 75 cm, Paris, Musée d'Orsay].
