Marie José Gröger von Meurs is a longstanding friend of mine born in the Netherlands and settled in Austria. By the way, people who have never visited the area should know that Austria in general and the Salzkammergut in particular are the ideal holiday spot if you want to lose weight, and anyway keep it off, with a lot of mountains for trekking and hills to browse by bike, the beautiful landscape being dotted with amazing little mountain lakes.

I met Marie-José for the first time in Salzburg, Mozart's birthplace, one of my favourite towns in Europe for its size (the city center can be crossed -I mean on foot- within 20 minutes!), the surrounding mountains and, last but not least, Mozart! Unfortunately, I have moved so often in the past that I lost a lot of notice books with addresses. By chance now we have the Internet. And, that is how little by little I eventually could reach an Austrian cultural center where they had the address of the person I was looking for, just a couple of days ago.

And now it's my pleasure to take the opportunity to introduce some of MJGVM's abstract or semi-abstract works that have been a little bit revisited (= "anaglyphized") on the computer, as you are now used to see on this website.

Nota bene to the Youtube archives: You don't need to be a believer to appreciate the genius of Mozart, a freemason composing for the Catholic Church! By the way, I adored listening to and seeing Bernstein, but this time he seems to have confused Mozart with Bruckner: "Es müßte ein Andante sein, Lenny, höchstens ein Adagio, aber kein Largo!" (It should be an Andante, at most an Adagio, but not a Largo!). But it was Bernstein! ... What should I say about Karajan and Norman in Salzburg? [Strange words by Karajan, on the way to the concerthall: "C'est fini! That's the end!". And his wife replies: "Non, non, non, rien n'est fini ; tout commence ... Nothing is finished, everything is at the beginning."] That I have goose bumps every time I watch that archive? That is far below the truth! Have you got how she whispers (= piano / pianíssimo!) at the beginning: "Mild und leise, wie er lächelt, wie das Auge hold er öffnet"? ...
